Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited (BTCL), which was formerly known as Bangladesh Tele and Telephone Board) is the only state-owned telephone (PSTN) service provider in Bangladesh. BTCL office in Jhenaidah has an assistant manager's office. Under the head office of the company's office: Assistant Manager Telecom, Jhenaidah. Telecommunication service of Jhenaidah Sadar, Shailakupa, Harinakundu, Kaliganj, Kotchadpur and Maheshpur Upazilas under Telecom Jhenaidah is operated. The company also provides Broadband Internet (ADSL), LLI service along with telephone voice service in Jhenaidah district. It is to be noted that all the telephones under Jhenaidah Telecommunication department have been digitized, which includes Malicious Call Tracing, Abbreviated Dialing, Fixed Destination Call, Hot Line, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Do not Disturb Individual, Conference Call, Alarm Call, Caller Id.
